Tower Boubín, a 21-meter-high wooden observation tower, sits atop Boubín hill in the Šumava National Park, near Buk-Prachatice. Built in 2005, it offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the Boubín Forest and, on clear days, even the Alps. Entry to the tower is free.

Public Transport
To reach Tower Boubín via public transportation, take a bus from Prachatice to Buk-Prachatice. Check local bus schedules for the most accurate times. The bus fare is typically around 30-50 CZK, and the ride takes about 30 minutes. From Buk, it's approximately a 4 km walk to the tower, following well-marked signs. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.
Car
If driving, head towards Buk-Prachatice in Šumava National Park. From Prachatice, head north on E49 towards Strakonice, then exit towards Buk. Follow signs to Tower Boubín. There is a designated parking area near the tower base. Parking fee is approximately 50 CZK for the day.
Walking
For those already in Kubova Huť, the easiest access to the lookout tower is on foot, following the blue tourist sign. The route is about 4.5 km long. From the village it is an easy walk up a mountain road, with the final section to the tower on a long wooden walkway with steps.
