The zoo is home to over 1,800 animals representing more than 400 species from around the globe. Visitors can explore diverse exhibits, including the African Safari, the Giraffe Pavilion, and the Tropical Pavilion. The zoo prides itself on providing spacious enclosures that mimic the animals' natural habitats, allowing them to thrive while offering visitors a close-up view of their behaviors. One of the specialities of the Olomouc Zoo are its unique night tours. They take place during the Christmas holiday and can be a relaxing change after the Christmas rush. Zoo Olomouc actively participates in breeding programs aimed at protecting endangered species. It is one of the largest breeders of South African Gemsbok in Europe and the stud book keeper of the East Caucasian tur.     From Olomouc Central Train Station (Hlavní nádraží), take bus number 11 directly to Svatý Kopeček, bazil.. The bus departs every 20 minutes, and the journey takes approximately 17 minutes. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the zoo entrance. A single ticket costs around 20 CZK.

    Taxi

    From Olomouc Central Train Station, a taxi to Zoo Olomouc takes about 15 minutes and costs between 320 Kč to 380 Kč.

    Car

    From Svatý Kopeček, head south on Route 441 towards Olomouc. Continue on this road until you reach Zoo Olomouc. Parking is available at the zoo for 100 Kč/day from March to October and 60 Kč/day from November to February. Hourly parking is also available for 40 Kč/hour from March to October.
