Seaside Nature Center: A Coastal Haven for Nature Lovers

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car within Delaware Seashore State Park, begin at the entrance to the park off of Route 1. Follow the signs directing you to the Seaside Nature Center. You'll drive along Cape Henlopen Drive, which runs through the park. The Seaside Nature Center is located at 15099 Cape Henlopen Dr, Lewes, DE 19958. Look for the nature center on your left as you approach the beach area, and follow the parking signs to locate the designated parking lot.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the Delaware Beach Bus service that operates during the summer months. Board the bus at any of the local stops, and ensure you're on the route heading towards Lewes. Request a stop at the intersection of Route 1 and Cape Henlopen Drive. From there, it’s a short walk (approximately 0.5 miles) to the Seaside Nature Center. Follow Cape Henlopen Drive towards the beach, and you will see the nature center on your left.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to bike, Delaware Seashore State Park has bike-friendly paths. You can rent a bike from local rental shops in the area. Start your ride from any point within the park, and follow the designated bike paths leading to Cape Henlopen Drive. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the Seaside Nature Center. The nature center is accessible via a bike path that leads directly to its entrance.
