Getting There

  • Car

    From Fort Delaware State Park, exit the park and head south on Fort Delaware State Park Rd towards Route 9. Continue on Route 9 (S. Dupont Highway) for approximately 10 miles. Merge onto I-495 N towards Wilmington. After about 5 miles, take exit 3B for US-13 N/US-40 W toward New Castle. Continue on US-13 N for about 3 miles, then take the exit toward Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Follow Martin Luther King Jr Blvd to 7th St. Turn right onto E 7th St, and after about 0.5 miles, Fort Christina Park will be on your right at 1110 E 7th St, Wilmington, DE 19801. There is no entrance fee to the park.

    Start by taking a taxi or rideshare service from Fort Delaware State Park to the nearest public transit station. The closest option is the DART First State bus service. Take the DART bus Route 64 from New Castle Avenue at the bus stop nearest to the park. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the 'Wilmington Transit Center'. From there, you can transfer to Route 1 or Route 6, which will take you to the stop at E 7th St. Walk east on E 7th St for about 10 minutes, and you will arrive at Fort Christina Park located at 1110 E 7th St, Wilmington, DE 19801.
