From most points in downtown Bethany Beach, the boardwalk is easily accessible on foot. Simply head east towards the ocean. Garfield Parkway leads directly to the boardwalk entrance at the lifeguard station. Sidewalks are available for a safe and pleasant walk.

Public Transport
The DART First State Beach Bus Route 208 serves Bethany Beach, with stops within walking distance of the boardwalk. Check the DART website for schedules and route information. The trolley is also free to ride and has multiple stops along the boardwalk. A single ride on the Beach Bus costs around $3.

Driving
If driving, be aware that parking in Bethany Beach can be challenging, especially during the summer. Public parking spaces are available, but fill up quickly. From May 15 to September 15, all public parking spaces are pay-to-park or require a parking permit. Parking costs $4 per hour. Payment can be made at pay stations or via the ParkMobile app. Daily and weekly permits are available for purchase online. Free parking is available from October to April.
