Bus
From downtown Wilmington, walk to the nearest bus stop at 10th & Market Streets. Take the DART First State Bus Route 33, which heads towards the Winterthur Museum. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for Winterthur (the bus will announce this stop). From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the museum.

Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local bike-sharing services available in Wilmington. Head north on North Market Street, then turn left onto West 18th Street. Continue on 18th Street until you reach Pennsylvania Avenue, and take a right. Follow Pennsylvania Avenue for several miles, and then turn left onto Kennett Pike (Route 52). Winterthur Museum will be on your left. The ride is approximately 8 miles and will take around 45 minutes, depending on your speed.

Turn left onto West 18th Street and continue to Pennsylvania Avenue. Follow Pennsylvania Avenue north until you reach Kennett Pike (Route 52). Turn left onto Kennett Pike, and you will find Winterthur Museum on your left. This is a long walk of about 8 miles, and may take around 2.5 to 3 hours.
