If you're near Nørreport Station, take the Metro Line M3 (Cityringen) towards Københavns Hovedbanegård. Get off at the next station, Christianshavn. Exit the station and head towards the main street (Torv). Walk straight for about 10 minutes, crossing the canal at Holmens Bro, until you reach the entrance of Christiansborg Palace at Prins Jørgens Gård.
