The park's central location near Koldinghus castle makes it easily accessible for those exploring the city's cultural attractions.

The park's defining feature is its 5,000-square-metre artificial lake, which forms the blue heart of the grounds. Visitors can navigate the water independently using free rowing boats or pedal boats, offering a sense of adventure and exploration. A particularly distinctive element is the play tower situated on an island in the middle of the lake, accessible only by water—a feature that encourages children to embrace aquatic challenges and develop confidence in water-based activities.
