If driving from Djibouti City, take Route RN1 north towards Tadjourah. After approximately 60km, look for signs to Airolaf and Day Forest National Park. The road to the park entrance from the main highway can be unpaved, so a 4x4 vehicle is recommended. Parking is available near the park entrance.

From Djibouti City, take a public bus or shared taxi towards Tadjourah. Ask the driver to drop you off at Airolaf. From Airolaf, you can hire a local taxi or arrange for a ride to the park entrance, approximately 3 kilometers away. Negotiate the fare with the taxi driver beforehand; expect to pay around 2000 DJF. The bus fare from Djibouti City to Airolaf is approximately 2,000-3,000 DJF.
