    Car

    From the center of Las Terrenas, head southeast on Calle Duarte towards the beach area. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the main highway (Carretera El Limon). Turn right onto Carretera El Limon (also known as Route 5) and follow the signs. After approximately 10 minutes, look for the signs indicating Playa El Portillo. You will see a turn-off to the right leading towards the beach, which is located at coordinates 19.3255275, -69.4997913. There is a free parking lot available at the location.

    Public Transportation (Guagua)

    From Las Terrenas, locate the main guagua (shared taxi) station, usually found near the town center. Look for guaguas heading to El Portillo or Las Galeras. The fare is typically around 50-100 Dominican Pesos (DOP) per person. Once you arrive at the El Portillo area, walk towards the beach, which is just a short distance from where the guagua drops you off. Make sure to ask the driver to let you know when you arrive at Playa El Portillo.
