If you are driving from the central area of Los Haitises, head southwest on the main road (Carretera Sánchez) towards Bayaguana. The waterfall is approximately 10 kilometers ahead. Be aware that the road may be rough in some areas, so a vehicle with good suspension is recommended.

To reach Salto Alto via public transportation, start by taking a local 'carro público' (shared taxi) from Los Haitises to Bayaguana. This will cost around 100 DOP per person. Once you arrive in Bayaguana, look for another 'carro público' heading towards Hidalgo. Inform the driver you want to go to Salto Alto. The fare for this leg is approximately 50 DOP. Once you arrive in Hidalgo, you may need to walk about 2 kilometers to reach Salto Alto, so prepare for a short hike. Ask locals for directions if needed.
