If you're driving from Samaná, take the Carretera Samaná (Route 5) towards Las Terrenas. Continue on Route 5 until you reach the junction with Route 7. Take Route 7 towards Sabana de la Mar. Follow Route 7 for approximately 30 kilometers until you arrive in Sabana de la Mar. Once you reach Sabana de la Mar, follow local signs to Los Haitises National Park. Punta Arena Beach is located within the park, specifically at coordinates 19.0934° N, -69.4793° W. There may be a small entrance fee for the park, so be prepared for that.

To reach Punta Arena Beach using public transportation, first take a guagua (shared minibus) from Samaná to Sabana de la Mar. Guaguas regularly depart from the main terminal in Samaná. The fare is around 100 DOP per person and the ride takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Once in Sabana de la Mar, you can hire a local taxi or take another guagua to the entrance of Los Haitises National Park. Be sure to confirm the fare with the taxi driver beforehand, as it can vary. The entrance to Punta Arena Beach is within the national park, and there may be an additional entrance fee.
