Walking
If you are in the central area of Puerto Plata, start by heading towards Calle 12 de Julio. From there, make your way to the main road, Av. Pedro Clisante. Once you reach Av. Pedro Clisante, head towards the east until you reach the intersection with Av. Luis Ginebra. Turn left onto Av. Luis Ginebra and continue straight. You will pass several shops and local eateries along the way. After about 20 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection with Cam. Palmar Grande. Turn right onto Cam. Palmar Grande, and Chocal - Chocolate de la Cuenca de Altamira will be a short walk down this road on your right.

Public Transportation
From your location in Puerto Plata, walk to the nearest public bus stop and catch a 'carro público' (shared taxi) heading towards Altamira. Make sure to tell the driver you want to go to Cam. Palmar Grande. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive, the driver will drop you off at the main road, and you will need to walk along Cam. Palmar Grande for about 5 minutes until you see Chocal - Chocolate de la Cuenca de Altamira on your right.
