Getting There

Car
If you're driving, start from the center of Santiago. Head north on Avenida 27 de Febrero towards the Autopista Duarte. Merge onto the Autopista Duarte and continue for about 30 kilometers. Take the exit towards Puerto Plata and follow the signs for Puerto Plata. Once you reach Puerto Plata, follow the signs for the Teleférico (Cable Car). Turn onto C. del Teleférico, and you will find the entrance to the Puerto Plata Cable Car on your left.

Public Transportation
To reach the Puerto Plata Cable Car by public transport, head to the bus terminal in Santiago, known as the Terminal de Autobuses. Look for a bus heading to Puerto Plata; these buses run frequently throughout the day. The journey takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Once you arrive at the Puerto Plata bus terminal, you can take a taxi or a local motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) to C. del Teleférico. It will be about a 10-minute ride to the cable car entrance.
