From the main bus terminal in Puerto Plata, take a bus heading towards Sosúa or Cabarete. The fare is usually around 50-100 Dominican Pesos. Inform the driver that you want to get off at Playa Encuentro, and they will let you know when you approach the area. It's approximately a 30-minute journey. Once you get off, follow the path towards the beach.

Motoconcho (Motorcycle Taxi)
If you prefer a quicker option, you can catch a motoconcho. You can find them near the main square or along the streets. Negotiate the fare with the driver before departing; it should be around 200-300 Dominican Pesos. Ask the driver to take you to Playa Encuentro. The ride will take about 15-20 minutes.

If you're feeling adventurous and up for a walk, you can stroll towards Playa Encuentro from the center of Puerto Plata. Head east along Calle 12 de Julio until you reach the intersection with Av. Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deñó. Turn right and continue straight until you reach the coast. From there, follow the shoreline north until you arrive at Playa Encuentro. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
