Public Bus
From central Puerto Plata, head to the main bus station known as 'Parada de Autobuses'. Look for a bus heading towards Cabarete. The fare is usually around 100-150 Dominican Pesos. Once on the bus, enjoy the scenic ride for about 30-40 minutes until you reach Cabarete. Ask the driver or fellow passengers to let you know when you get to Cabarete.

Walking from Cabarete
Once you arrive in Cabarete, disembark at the main bus stop. Head towards the beach area. Walk along the main road (Carretera Principal) until you reach the beachfront. Continue walking west along the beach promenade. After about a 10-15 minute walk, you will reach Playa Encuentro, which is where Pauhana Surf School and Board Rental is located.
