If you're driving from Samaná town, head southwest on Carretera Samaná - Sánchez/Route 5. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at the Las Terrenas turnoff. At the junction, follow the signs to Sabana de la Mar, taking Route 8. This drive will take you through some beautiful coastal and mountainous scenery, so make sure to enjoy the views along the way. Once you reach Sabana de la Mar, follow the signs to Los Haitises National Park. There is a parking area near the entrance where you can leave your car.
