Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the center of Las Terrenas, start by heading west on Calle 27 de Febrero. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Calle Duarte. Turn right onto Calle Duarte, and walk for about 300 meters. You will pass several shops and restaurants. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Playa Punta Popy. After walking along Calle Duarte, turn left onto Calle El Sol, and follow it until you reach the beach. Playa Punta Popy will be straight ahead.

• Motoconcho (Motorcycle Taxi)

  From any location in Las Terrenas, you can easily catch a motoconcho (motorcycle taxi) to Playa Punta Popy. Just signal a motoconcho by raising your hand; they are common and will stop for you. Tell the driver 'Playa Punta Popy' or simply 'Punta Popy'. The ride should take around 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Be sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey; it typically costs around 100-150 pesos.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you prefer to ride a bike, many rental shops are available in Las Terrenas. Rent a bicycle from a local shop and head towards Playa Punta Popy. Start by heading west on Calle 27 de Febrero, then turn right onto Calle Duarte, and continue until you reach Calle El Sol. Follow Calle El Sol until you reach the beach. The ride is approximately 2 kilometers and should take around 10-15 minutes, providing a scenic view of the area.

• Public Bus

  While there isn't a direct public bus to Playa Punta Popy, you can take a bus towards Las Terrenas and get off at the main bus terminal. From there, you can either walk or take a motoconcho to the beach. To walk, head west on Calle 27 de Febrero, then turn right onto Calle Duarte, followed by a left onto Calle El Sol. The walk from the terminal to the beach is about 15-20 minutes.
