Car
If you're driving from Quito, head northwest on the E28 highway. Continue for approximately 1.5 hours until you reach the town of Tandayapa. Keep an eye out for road signs indicating 'Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve.' Once in Tandayapa, follow the signs for Ruta Antigua Nono. Travel approximately 10 km on this road until you reach Km 62, where Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve & Lodge is located. The lodge will be on your right side. Make sure to have a GPS or a map app handy, as some parts of the road may not be well marked.
Public Transportation
From Quito, take a bus from the Terminal Terrestre Quitumbe to the town of Tandayapa. The bus ride typically takes about 2 hours and costs around $2-3. Once you arrive in Tandayapa, you can either take a taxi or ask for a local shuttle to Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve & Lodge. The taxi ride will cost approximately $10-15 and takes about 20 minutes. If you prefer a more adventurous option, you can hike from Tandayapa to the lodge, which will take about 1.5 to 2 hours.
Shared Shuttle
Another option is to book a shared shuttle from Quito to Bellavista Cloud Forest Reserve. Various tour operators offer this service, and the cost ranges from $30-50 per person, depending on the number of passengers. The shuttle usually departs from Quito in the morning and takes around 2-3 hours to reach the lodge. It’s advisable to book the shuttle in advance to secure a spot.
