Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. Head south on Avenida Charles Darwin, following the signs for Cerro Tijeretas. After approximately 2.5 kilometers, you will see a sign for Mirador Cerro Tijeretas on the left. The road will lead you to a parking area near the entrance. Parking is usually free, but check for any updates upon arrival.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can take a local bus or taxi from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno to Mirador Cerro Tijeretas. Buses run regularly and cost around $1 per person; just ask the driver to drop you off at the Mirador. If you prefer a taxi, expect to pay around $5 to $10 for the trip, depending on your starting point. Once you arrive, there may be a short walk to the entrance of the observation deck.
Walking
If you are already in the vicinity of the Mirador, you can walk from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. The hike is approximately 2.5 kilometers and takes about 30-40 minutes. Follow Avenida Charles Darwin until you reach the sign for Cerro Tijeretas. The trail to the viewpoint is well-marked and offers beautiful views along the way. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water, as the path can be steep in places.
