Bus
From Ambato, head to the main bus terminal, Terminal Terrestre Ambato. Look for a bus that goes to Zumbahua. The buses to Zumbahua usually leave every hour. Once you board the bus, ask the driver to drop you off at 'Toachi River Canyon'. After around 1.5 to 2 hours of travel, you will arrive at Zumbahua. From the bus stop, walk towards the canyon, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the observation deck.

Taxi
If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Ambato to Toachi River Canyon. Head to a nearby taxi stand or flag down a taxi on the street. Show the driver the address '33CV+VH6, Zumbagua' or say 'Toachi River Canyon'. The ride will take about 1.5 hours. Make sure to agree on the fare before departing, as taxis may not use a meter for longer distances.

Walking
If you are already in Zumbahua, you can walk to Toachi River Canyon from the town center. Start at the main square, Plaza Central de Zumbahua. From the plaza, head south towards the road that leads out of town. Continue walking straight, following the road signs towards Toachi River Canyon. The walk is approximately 30 minutes and is relatively straightforward, with scenic views along the way.
