From Ayampe Beach, head south on Route E15. Continue on this road for approximately 15 kilometers. You will pass through the town of Puerto López. Look for signs for Parque Nacional Machalilla. When you reach the park entrance, you may need to pay an entrance fee, which is usually around $2. Once inside the park, follow the signs for Los Frailes Beach, which is about a 30-minute drive from the entrance.

From Ayampe Beach, walk to the main road and catch a bus heading to Puerto López. The bus ride should take about 30 minutes and costs around $1. Once you arrive in Puerto López, you'll need to take a taxi or another bus to the entrance of Parque Nacional Machalilla. The taxi ride will cost approximately $5. After reaching the park entrance, pay the entrance fee of about $2. From there, follow the signs for Los Frailes Beach, which is about a 30-minute drive within the park.
