If you are driving from the city of Tulcán in Carchi Region, take the Pan-American Highway (E35) south towards the Colombia border. The drive will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the border, cross into Colombia and continue on the Pan-American Highway (now E28) toward Ipiales. Follow the signs for Las Lajas, which is about 10 km from Ipiales. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Las Lajas, as it is a well-known landmark in the area.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Tulcán, you can take a bus to Ipiales. The buses leave frequently from the main terminal and the journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Ipiales, you can take a local taxi or a minibus that goes directly to the Sanctuary. The taxi ride will take approximately 20 minutes, and the fare is usually around 10,000-15,000 COP (Colombian Pesos). If you choose the minibus, make sure to ask the driver if it stops at Las Lajas.
