If you are driving from Cuenca, head east on the A-1 road towards the town of Cañar. Follow the signs for Cañar, which is approximately 1.5 hours away (about 90 km). Once you reach Cañar, continue on the same road and follow the signs for 'Ingapirca'. After about 30 minutes, you will see signs leading you to the Ruinas de Ingapirca. There is a parking lot available near the entrance, and note that there may be a small fee for parking.

To travel by public transport, start at the Cuenca bus terminal. Look for a bus heading to Cañar; buses typically depart every 30 minutes and the journey will take around 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Cañar, head to the local market area and find a bus or taxi that goes to Ingapirca. The local buses are usually quite affordable, costing around $1-2. The bus ride from Cañar to Ingapirca will take about 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm with the bus driver that they stop at the Ruinas de Ingapirca, as not all do.
