If you're traveling by car, head towards the E15 highway. From major cities in Manabí, such as Manta or Portoviejo, follow the signs to Puerto López. Once you reach Puerto López, continue on the E15 for approximately 12 kilometers until you see the entrance to Parque Nacional Machalilla on your left. There is parking available at the park entrance. Note that there may be an entrance fee of approximately $10 per person, so have cash ready.

To reach Parque Nacional Machalilla by bus, start by making your way to the main bus terminal in either Manta or Portoviejo. Buses to Puerto López are frequent and cost around $2. The journey takes about 2 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Puerto López bus terminal, you can either walk to the park entrance (approximately 30 minutes) or take a taxi for about $5. Make sure to inform the taxi driver that you want to go to Parque Nacional Machalilla.
