Walking
If you are in the center of Mindo, start by walking towards the main square. From the square, head east on Calle 9 de Octubre until you reach the junction with Calle Juan Montalvo. Turn left onto Calle Juan Montalvo and continue straight. After a few blocks, you will see a sign for the Mindo Cloud Forest Reserve. Follow the signs to the bus terminal where you can catch a bus to Quito. The bus will take you to the bus terminal in Quito, where you will need to transfer to another bus heading to San Francisco de la Pita.

From Mindo, take a local bus to the Quito bus terminal. Buses run frequently throughout the day. Once you arrive in Quito, look for the buses that head towards San Francisco de la Pita. You can ask the bus driver or the attendants at the terminal for assistance. The ride should take around 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.

If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Mindo to Quito. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand. Once in Quito, ask the driver to take you to San Francisco de la Pita. This option is convenient if you are traveling with a group or have luggage.
