After approximately 25 km, you will see signs for Cascada El Pailón. Turn left onto the road marked for the waterfall. Continue on this road for about 5 km until you reach the parking area. Note that there may be a small entrance fee for the waterfall, usually around $2 per person.

From Tena, you can take a bus to Río Verde, which is a common route. Buses leave frequently from the main terminal in Tena, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Río Verde, you can either walk to Cascada El Pailón (approximately 2 km) or take a taxi for a small fee (around $5). Follow the signs leading to the waterfall from the town.
