If you're traveling by car, start on the main road in the Napo Region, heading toward Archidona. You will want to take the 'Via Archidona - Baeza' road. Continue driving until you reach 'Sector la Y'. The zoo is located at km 6 along this road. Look for signs or landmarks to confirm you're on the right path. Parking is available on-site, but be sure to check for any parking fees.
Public Transportation
To reach Zoologico El Arca via public transportation, you can take a bus from Tena to Archidona. Buses regularly depart from the main terminal in Tena. Once you arrive in Archidona, you can catch a local taxi or a moto-taxi that will take you to Sector la Y, specifically to km 6 on the Via Archidona - Baeza road. Ensure to clarify your destination with the taxi driver to avoid any confusion. The taxi fare should be around $2-3.
Walking (from local transport drop-off)
If you're dropped off by a taxi or moto-taxi at Sector la Y, you may need to walk approximately 15-20 minutes along the road to reach Zoologico El Arca. Make sure to keep an eye out for the zoo entrance, which will be marked. Walking along the road can be scenic, but be cautious of traffic.
