Bus
From the main bus terminal in Otavalo, take a bus heading to Quito. The buses to Quito depart frequently, so you should not have to wait long. Once you arrive in Quito, ask the bus driver to drop you off at the closest stop to the Teleférico, the cable car station, which is the starting point for reaching Rucu Pichincha.
Taxi
You can take a taxi from any point in Otavalo to the Teleférico in Quito. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your trip. The ride should take about 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic.
