Walking
From the central Plaza de los Ponchos in Otavalo, head south towards Calle Sucre. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Calle Roca. Turn left onto Calle Roca and walk for about 10 minutes. This will take you towards San Pablo del Lago. Once you reach the main road (E28), cross carefully and continue straight. You will see signs directing you to San Pablo del Lago. After approximately another 10 minutes of walking, you will arrive at the beautiful lakeside.
Public Transport
From Plaza de los Ponchos, locate the bus terminal which is usually filled with buses heading in various directions. Look for a bus labeled 'San Pablo' or 'San Pablo del Lago.' The fare is minimal, around $0.50. The bus ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off when you see the lake and the surrounding area. From the bus stop, it's a short walk to the lakeside.
