Ferry
To reach Isabela Island, take a ferry from Santa Cruz Island (Puerto Ayora) to Isabela Island (Puerto Villamil). Ferries operate daily, with a journey time of approximately 2 hours. The ferry from Santa Cruz to Isabela costs approximately $32-$45 per person each way. Once you arrive in Puerto Villamil, a water taxi to the pier costs $1 per person, and there is a $10 pier tax. Shared taxis from the pier to the town center cost $1-2 per person, or you can walk into town in about 20 minutes.
Walking
Most attractions in Puerto Villamil are within walking distance. From the Puerto Villamil pier, walk along the main road towards the town center. The main plaza, restaurants, shops, and accommodations are all located within a short walk. To reach Concha de Perla, follow the wooden pathway from the northern end of the main road in Puerto Villamil, about 2 km from the town center. The path leads through mangroves to the bay.
