From the main harbor in Puerto Ayora, start by walking towards Avenida Charles Darwin. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida Baltra. Turn left onto Avenida Baltra and walk for about 15 minutes until you reach the main bus terminal on your right. Here, you will find buses heading towards the highlands, including the Pit Craters area. Board a bus labeled for 'Los Gemelos' or 'Highlands.' The bus ride will take approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Pit Craters, follow the marked trails to explore the craters and enjoy the scenic views.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Puerto Ayora. Start at the main harbor and cycle towards Avenida Charles Darwin. Continue on Avenida Baltra until you reach the bus terminal, where you will find the paved road leading to the highlands. Cycle on the road for about 45 minutes until you arrive at the Pit Craters. Be prepared for some uphill sections, and make sure to wear a helmet and bring plenty of water for the ride.
