Car
From Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, head west on the E28 highway towards the town of Los Bancos. Follow the signs for Mindo. After approximately 45 kilometers, you will reach a junction; take the exit onto Camino Milpe-Pachijal. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers. The Milpe Bird Sanctuary is situated on your left at Km 91. Look for the signs indicating the sanctuary, and there is parking available on-site.

Begin your journey at the Santo Domingo bus terminal. Look for buses heading to Los Bancos; the trip should take about 1 to 1.5 hours and costs approximately $2. Once you arrive in Los Bancos, you can hire a taxi to take you to Milpe Bird Sanctuary, which is about 10 kilometers away. The taxi fare should be around $5 to $10. Make sure to confirm the price before starting your journey.
