If you are driving, start from the center of Sierra, either from Quito or another nearby city. Follow the E28 road towards the northwest, heading towards Mindo. Continue on E28 for about 1.5 hours, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Once you reach Mindo, look for signs directing you to the town center. As you enter Mindo, turn onto 9 de Octubre street, where El Quetzal de Mindo is located. The restaurant is on your right side, and you will see its sign clearly.

To reach El Quetzal de Mindo via public transportation, first, get to the 'Carcelén' bus terminal in Quito. From there, take a bus heading to Mindo. The bus ride lasts approximately 2 hours and will take you through beautiful landscapes. Once you arrive in Mindo, disembark at the main bus terminal. From the terminal, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to 9 de Octubre street. El Quetzal de Mindo is easily identifiable, located on the right side as you approach the center of Mindo.
