Canoe
From El Puente, the entrance to Cuyabeno Reserve, Caiman Lodge is reached by motorized canoe. The canoe ride typically takes 1.75 hours, navigating downriver to Laguna Grande where the lodge is located. This canoe transfer is usually arranged by the tour operator as part of a pre-booked tour.
Bus and Canoe
Most visitors arrive in Cuyabeno via bus to Lago Agrio. From Lago Agrio, take a taxi or bus to El Puente (Cuyabeno Bridge), the entrance to the Cuyabeno Reserve. The cost for this leg is approximately $10-$15 per person. From El Puente, the final leg to Caiman Lodge is by motorized canoe, arranged by the lodge as part of the tour.
