    Getting There

    Walking

    From the center of Puerto Misahuallí, cross the bridge over the Río Napo on the road towards Ahuano or the airport. After crossing the bridge, continue for about 5 minutes until you see a turnoff to the community. The community is located a short walk from this turnoff.

    Boat

    In Puerto Misahuallí, you can hire a motorized canoe to take you to Comunidad Shiripuno. The boat ride takes approximately 15 minutes. Negotiate the price before departure. A typical price for a canoe that can accommodate up to 12 people is around $30.

You can also observe the process of making chocolate. A highlight of the community is a large rock believed to be a crashed meteorite, which holds significant importance in Kichwa mythology. According to local legends, animals disappeared around this rock, leaving behind petrified silhouettes.For a deeper experience, consider staying overnight in one of the community's traditional cabañas, where you can fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle.
