Public Transport
Quito's public transportation system offers an affordable way to reach the Historic Center. Take the Trolebús to one of the stops in the area, such as Banco Central, Plaza del Teatro, or Santo Domingo. The Quito Metro also has a stop at San Francisco Plaza. A single fare on the Trolebús or Metro costs $0.25.
Taxi/Ride-share
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber and Cabify are readily available in Quito. A short taxi ride within the city center typically costs between $3 and $5. Be sure the driver uses the taximeter, or agree on a fare beforehand.
