Public Transport
From Tena, take a public bus from the Centinela bus station to San Pedro de Sumino. Buses typically take around 1.5-2 hours. From San Pedro, the Yacuma EcoLodge provides a canoe service to the lodge, a ride of approximately 30 minutes. The bus from Quito to Tena is approximately $6. The cost of the canoe is included in the tour package.

Located on the banks of the Chontayacu River, a tributary of the Napo River, the lodge is a joint ecotourism initiative with the indigenous Kichwa community of the Chontayacu River. The goal is to improve the local economy and promote sustainable tourism.The lodge features bungalows constructed with sustainably harvested rainforest materials, offering private porches and modern bathroom facilities. Electricity is provided by photovoltaic panels, and solar panels heat the water.
