Getting There

  • Air and River Transport

    The journey to Napo Wildlife Center begins with a flight from Quito to Coca (approximately $256 per adult). From Coca, a motorized canoe takes you down the Napo River for about 2 hours to the Napo Wildlife Center welcome station. From there, you will transfer to dugout canoes operated by local guides for a peaceful ride up the Anangu Creek to Añangu Lake, where the lodge is located.

The Napo Wildlife Center is a luxury ecolodge located in the heart of the Yasuní National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth. This unique lodge is owned and operated by the Anangu Quichua community, with all tour proceeds reinvested directly into the community. This project is recognized as a model for community-based tourism, blending first-class facilities with an authentic Amazon experience. The lodge features 20 traditionally styled cabins with modern amenities, offering spectacular views of the surrounding rainforest and Añangu Lake. Guests can enjoy a range of activities, including excursions into the forest, canoeing, kayaking, and birdwatching tours. The lodge also boasts a 50-foot wildlife viewing tower, providing panoramic views of the jungle canopy.
