Car

If you're traveling by car, start your journey from the town of Zamora. Head south on the E45 highway towards Tambo Valladolid. After approximately 15 kilometers, take the exit toward El Porvenir del Carmen. Continue straight for about 5 kilometers until you reach the location of Cascada San Luis, which is accessible via a marked dirt road leading to the waterfall. Parking is available near the trailhead, but be aware that the road may require a vehicle with good clearance due to some rough patches.

Public Transportation

To reach Cascada San Luis using public transportation, take a bus from Zamora to Tambo Valladolid. Buses leave frequently from the main terminal, and the fare is typically around $1.50. Once you arrive in Tambo Valladolid, you will need to hire a local taxi or a motorcycle taxi to reach El Porvenir del Carmen, as public transport does not go directly to the waterfall. The taxi ride will cost approximately $5 to $10, depending on your negotiation skills. Inform the driver that you want to go to Cascada San Luis, and they will know the way.

Walking/Trekking

If you prefer to trek to Cascada San Luis, you can park your car at the trailhead near El Porvenir del Carmen. From there, follow the marked trail which is about a 20-30 minute hike downhill to the waterfall. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and carry water, as the trail can be steep and slippery.
