Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, begin your journey from the Great Pyramids of Giza. Head south towards Al-Haram Street, then turn left onto Al-Jizah Road. Continue driving for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Sphinx Road. Turn right onto Sphinx Road and follow the signs for the Giza Plateau. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the entrance to the Giza Plateau where you will need to pay an entrance fee of approximately 200 EGP. Once inside the plateau, navigate towards the southern section where Mastaba 3504 is located, which is roughly 2 kilometers from the entrance. There will be signs directing you to various mastabas, look for Mastaba 3504, which is situated near some of the larger pyramids.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Mastaba 3504 via public transportation, start your journey from downtown Cairo. Take the Metro Line 2 to the Giza Station, which is the closest station to the Giza Plateau. Upon exiting the station, you can catch a local bus or taxi heading towards the Giza Plateau. The bus fare is around 5 EGP, while a taxi may cost approximately 50-100 EGP depending on the negotiation. Once you arrive at the Giza Plateau entrance, you will need to pay an entrance fee of approximately 200 EGP. After entering, you can either walk or hire a local guide to take you directly to Mastaba 3504, which is about a 15-20 minute walk from the entrance.

• Walking (from nearby attractions)

  If you are already at the Giza Plateau visiting other attractions, such as the Great Sphinx or the pyramids, you can walk to Mastaba 3504. From the Great Sphinx, head south towards the pyramids, and then follow the signs to the mastabas. It’s approximately a 20-minute walk. Make sure to bring water and wear comfortable shoes, as the terrain can be uneven.
