Public Transport
From Cairo city center, take Metro Line 2 to Giza station. From Giza station, take a taxi or a bus to the Giza Necropolis. A taxi ride from Giza station to the entrance will cost approximately 20-30 EGP. Alternatively, several bus companies operate between Tahrir Square and Giza. Bus M7 also runs from Abdel Munim Riad Square to near the pyramids. The bus will take around 20-30 minutes. A microbus is another option.
Taxi/Ride-sharing
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Uber are readily available in Cairo. A taxi ride from downtown Cairo to the Giza Necropolis typically costs between 50-60 EGP and takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Confirm the final fare with the driver before starting your journey.
Driving
If driving from Cairo, head southwest on Champollion Road towards El-Shaikh Marouf. Follow the Nile Corniche Road and Route 75M to El-Malek Fouad in Nazlet El-Semman. Continue along Abou Al Hool Al Seiahi to the Pyramids of Giza. Parking is available near the Great Pyramid entrance. Parking fees range from 20-50 EGP. Roadside parking is also available near the entrances.
