Barca Solare del Dio Rê: A Unique Nile Experience

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from Luxor Temple, head northeast on the Corniche Road along the Nile River for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Al-Mahatta Street. Take a right onto Al-Mahatta Street and continue straight for approximately 500 meters. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Al-Mahatta Street again. After about 300 meters, you will come to a small intersection. Here, turn left onto a narrow street. Continue walking straight for another 400 meters until you see the sign for Barca solare del dio Rê, which is located at PJ2R+H9F.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops near Luxor Temple. Begin your journey by heading northeast along the Corniche Road for about 1 kilometer. After that, take a right onto Al-Mahatta Street and continue straight for around 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Al-Mahatta Street again. Continue for about 300 meters, then turn left onto the narrow street, riding straight for another 400 meters. Barca solare del dio Rê will be on your left at PJ2R+H9F.

• Horse-drawn carriage (Calèche)

  You can hire a horse-drawn carriage from Luxor Temple. Inform the driver that you want to go to Barca solare del dio Rê. The driver will take you along the Corniche Road towards Al-Mahatta Street. After passing the local market, you will make a right turn onto Al-Mahatta Street. Continue straight until reaching the roundabout and proceed with the second exit. After a short ride, you will turn left onto a narrow street. The carriage will drop you off at PJ2R+H9F, where Barca solare del dio Rê is located.
