Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from the Luxor Temple, head east onto Mohamed Ramzy Street. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the Luxor Corniche. Turn left onto the Corniche and walk along the Nile for approximately 2 km until you reach the ferry terminal. Take a ferry across the Nile to Al Qarna, which takes about 5-10 minutes. Once you arrive in Al Qarna, head north on the main road for about 1.5 km. Deir el-Medina is located on the left side of the road, with signs directing you to the entrance.

Public Bus
From the Luxor bus station, take a local minibus heading towards Al Qarna. Buses run frequently and the fare is inexpensive. Inform the driver that you want to go to Deir el-Medina. The bus ride will take around 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Al Qarna, ask locals for directions to Deir el-Medina as it is a popular tourist spot. It should be a short walk from the bus stop.

Horse-drawn Carriage
If you prefer a more traditional mode of transportation, you can hire a horse-drawn carriage from the Luxor Temple area. Negotiate a fare with the carriage driver and specify that you want to go to Deir el-Medina. The ride will take about 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. The carriage will drop you off near the entrance to Deir el-Medina.
