The modern, two-story building offers ample space for visitors to comfortably admire the beautifully displayed objects and sculptures. The exhibits include funerary stelae, offering tables, papyri, tomb furniture, and statuettes. Smaller objects like jewelry and ritual items are displayed in glass cases.One of the most fascinating exhibits is the Wall of Akhenaten, reconstructed from sandstone blocks. The museum also features treasures from Tutankhamun's tomb, including shabti figurines and gilded bronze rosettes. The royal mummies of Ahmose I and Ramesses I are displayed in a new extension built in 2004. The museum also houses a collection of statues unearthed during the dismantling of a colonnade in Luxor Temple.
