Wonderful Medhufushi Experience - Paul & Lorna July 25

We've just returned from a wonderful 10 days on Medhufushi island in the Maldives. It is exactly what you see in the glossy magazines, a lush, tropical island surrounded by beautiful soft white sand and crystal clear (and very warm) ocean. By the time we had walked from the seaplane to our room we had already seen a couple of sharks and an eagle ray. Watching the turtle from the deck came a couple of days later! The room was comfortable and very clean. The food was good and if you got bored of the buffet you could always switch to the a la carte (obviously at additional cost but reasonably priced). The staff were extremely attentive, especially Nowfil who was our waiter for our entire visit and couldn't do enough to make sure our mealtimes were as enjoyable and easy as possible. It was a very friendly island with lots of different nationalities present (French, German, Russian, Indian) with everyone acknowledging each other in a friendly way as you stroll around. A special mention to Peter and Kathy, Neil and Anne, Alan and Sarah who definitely enhanced our experience on the island (although I can't guarantee that they'll be there when others decide to visit!) We've visited 9 different islands and this is definitely one that we would return to!
