Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Siwa Oasis, start at the Siwa Palm Tree Market. Head northwest on the main street (Sharia Al-Mahdi) towards the Siwa Museum. Continue straight until you reach the intersection near the Mosque of Siwa. Turn left onto Sharia Al-Mahdi and walk for about 500 meters. You will pass by several local shops and cafes. Once you reach the end of this street, turn right onto Sharia Al-Badawiya. Follow this road for approximately 1 kilometer until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path leading toward the salt lake area. After another 500 meters, you should see signs pointing toward المياه شديدة الملوحة. The destination is located just off the main path, marked by natural salt formations.

  Rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops near the center of Siwa Oasis. Start at the Siwa Palm Tree Market and head northwest on Sharia Al-Mahdi. Continue straight past the Siwa Museum and turn left at the intersection near the Mosque of Siwa. After about 1 kilometer, you will reach the fork in the road. Take the left path leading toward the salt lake area. Ride for another 500 meters until you see the signs for المياه شديدة الملوحة. There may be local guides available if you need additional help finding the exact location.
