Walking
If you are starting from the Kuressaare town center, head southeast on Tallinna street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lossi street, which is marked with signs indicating the direction to the castle. Turn left onto Lossi street, and after a short walk, you will find Saaremaa Muuseum located at Lossihoov 1-1, directly next to Kuressaare Castle. The museum is about a 10-minute walk from the town center.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Kuressaare. Start your ride by heading southeast on Tallinna street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lossi street. Turn left onto Lossi street. The museum is located at Lossihoov 1-1, adjacent to Kuressaare Castle. The cycling route takes approximately 5 minutes from the town center, and it is a pleasant ride with bike-friendly paths.
Public Transportation
Although Kuressaare is a small town where public transportation options are limited, you can ask for the local bus schedules at your accommodation or check local resources. Some buses may go towards the castle area. If you catch a bus, make sure to get off at the bus stop closest to Kuressaare Castle, and from there, it's just a short 5-minute walk to Saaremaa Muuseum at Lossihoov 1-1.
