From the Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats), head east down Pikk Street (Pikk tänav). Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Viru Street (Viru tänav). Turn right onto Viru Street, and you will see Viru Gate (Viru väravad) directly ahead. The walk should take about 10 minutes.

If you are near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, exit the cathedral grounds and walk down the hill towards Toompea Castle. From there, take the stairs down to the Lower Town. Once you reach the bottom, turn left and follow the path until it leads you to Viru Street. Turn right, and Viru Gate will be in front of you. This route may take around 15 minutes.

From St. Olaf's Church, head down towards Lai Street (Lai tänav). Turn left onto Lai Street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Viru Street. Turn right onto Viru Street, and you will soon see Viru Gate ahead. This route takes approximately 12 minutes.
