Walking
From the heart of Tallinn Old Town, start at the Town Hall Square (Raekoja Plats). Head southeast towards the St. Mary's Cathedral (Toomkirik). Continue walking straight until you reach the steps leading up to Toompea Hill. Ascend the steps, which are located just past the cathedral. Once you reach the top, you will find Toompea Castle directly in front of you on Lossi plats 1a. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes, and the steps may be steep, so be cautious.

If you are near the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, exit the cathedral and walk down the hill towards the street named Lossi plats. Toompea Castle is located on this street. Walk for about 5 minutes, and you will see the castle on your left. This route is scenic and takes you through the charming cobblestone streets of Old Town.

Alternatively, if you are at the Viru Gates (the main entrance to the Old Town), walk west towards Pikk Street. Follow Pikk Street until you reach the intersection with Lai Street, then turn left onto Lai Street. Continue straight until you reach the foot of Toompea Hill. Ascend the hill via the steps or pathway leading up to the castle. This route may take around 15-20 minutes and offers beautiful views of the Old Town.
